He's orange, like Morris or Garfield.

He's a half-wild kitten that someone dumped out in the country. When my mom found him, he looked like skin & bones.

The other cats in the house are Frankie, Sammy & Dean.

Frankie is a siamese with beautiful blue eyes & when I got the two cats, one black, one white, I named them after Sammy Davis Junior & Dean Martin. Those three were known as the "Rat Pack" in Las Vegas in the 50s. So I now have the "Cat Pack."

But Sammy & Dean are usually just called "white cat" & "black cat."

Well, if you want to round out the rat pack you're missing two more names:

Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop

So...try Pete or Joey (or Lawford or Bishop)!

Radar? (for the eyes and ears)

E.T.? U.F.O. (Unidentified Furry Object)? A-Lee (short for alien, again about the eyes/ears)?

Hmm....Pumpkin. Yeah, because the kitten will put on some weight but he/she will always have that color going on with the coat.

Pumpkin. Or if the kitty is a *brighter* shade of Orange, maybe Navel (as in "seedless orange").

Dawn might also be a good name (the color when the sun rises is?).

Just my plug nickel. :) Hope the kitty does well.

Cats sure are cool. Good for you for taking him in and caring for him! I'm sure you'll have him all fattened up and healthy in no time.

Honestly, why not "Morris or Garfield" like you said?

I like "Zion" as well. Zion Lion.

I think orange cats are the prettiest and so sweet. Enjoy the new baby. :-)
