i lost contact with someone i really cared for about three years ago we both changed cell phone numbers about the same time and we havent been in touch with each other since then ....i think that she is trying to get in touch with me also but all i know is her name so i dont know where to begin ....i really love her!!!!

Well, you must be knowing some details about her other than her name? School. work place at least which area she is living and so on?? Then post those details here (on yahoo answers) and keep on extending the date until you get an answer. People are helpful, and I am sure you will be able to connect with your lost sweet heart.
If you know the area she is in, and if you know her surname - you can try calling IF her name is not a very common name...
You can also send a flood email. State everything you know about her and state your contact details also in the body of the email and forward to all your friends asking them to forward all their friends. Like that, you email will go right around the world.... who knows, in a week or even in a month, she herself may receive your email!!!!

There are any number of sevices on the internet that can track her down. but there are some things that you can do also. It just takes a little detective work on your part. first do a goolge and Dogpile search to see if her name pops up then if you know what town she is in check the directories, if you know what type of job she has you can use that as a base and have your contact number faxed to these places and put up on the message boards
