Microsoft just released a demo copy of their new Flight Simulator X. It's a very limited version with only four airplanes and flying only in the Caribbean, but gives you a taste of the new graphics and a few fun things to play with...

Try xplane. They also have a Yahoo group by the same name. Just use xplane as a search word in your Yahoo search box. It is more for the real pilot and air frame guru but have some pretty kool FREE flight sims.
