i want to go to a church where i can sit and listen to the man preach

Resurrection Life Fellowship on Arizona Avenue, I believe it is. It's in the same parking lot as Dinah's Chicken. It's near LAX. The Pastor's name is Dr. Morgan, and that man will turn your head around with his teaching. Last I checked, RLF began at 1.00 p.m.
In the same building there's a church called West Los Angeles Living Word Christian Center, something like that. They own the building, and that Pastor's name is Pastor Eddie. Also super fantabulous teaching. You can get directions to either through the WLALWCC site:

I am not certain of the address, since I have never visited Los Angeles. But if you can find a pastor by the name of Fred Price, he has a great church in Los Angeles. I have heard him preach on his Friday night broadcast from Los Angeles many times, and He is a wonderful preacher of God's Word. If you want a church which has a truly Spirit-filled pastor, then make every effort to find it. I'm sure that anyone who is very familiar with Los Angeles would know where his church is located.

The biggest is probably Grace Community in Sun Valley
There is also the Crystal Cathederal in Orange County

Look in your phone book for a Calvary Chapel. Or go on their website...they have churches all over. I think it's calvarychapel.org.
They are excellent bible teaching churches...and the churches truly are alive in Christ; people love the Lord so much...you will learn and learn; the bible teaching, it's wonderful. God bless you!
