I lived in LA briefly in 2001 prior to 9/11, has much changed and what are the pros and cons of living there?

Depends on what part of Pasadena you're planning to live in - there are very nice areas, and then the nasty areas.........just like any major city.

The Pasadena School District is not the best - there are some good schools in the district, but as a whole, it is pretty crappy. Unless you can get your kids into one of the better schools (especially once they get into middle and high school), I would suggest private schools.

On the plus side, it is a big city, so there is always fun stuff to do and lots of things to get your kids involved in.

The choice in schools is so big private, public , you can choose from many . We have so much to do places to learn from

What may have changed is the prices of living it is higher and
more people But the city is still the same for the most part. Places you may have gone to may not be the same places change but cities don't WELCOME back to a really great place.

Pasadena has more of an east coast feel than most of LA.
