Christians do not think "The bible authors wrote" any thing in The Bible so no Christian should ever say this!!!!!

Ever stop to think why we call it "The Word of God"?

P.S.
Say: "1 a : to express in words : STATE b : to state as opinion or belief : DECLARE"

You can say something on paper....Note that it dose not say that it has to be out load.

Yes, of course the Bible can talk! You have to be willing to listen though, and you might not like what you hear! The Bible is supposed to be the divine revelations of God as spoken to the prophets and the holy men of the Bible! The Bible is the word of God! The New Testament contains direct quotations of the words of Jesus! Some people believe that Jesus was divine and the Son of God, the Messiah! Others believe that he was just a prophet like Mohammed, and not the Messiah!

Words on the pages of the Bible speak to your inner mind, to your spiritual self!

If you believe in such a divine process, it is incorrect to say that "The Bible's authors wrote" because the words they wrote were not their own! The true author of the words in the Bible, was God! The holy men were just taking dictation, so to speak! They were more correctly the scribes of the Word of God!

What is with you here ? Are you here to get a date from any woman ? Well one day you will see the real truth and your ears , your heart will be saying " what hit me " ........ well that would be the hand who made you ........... God. The bible is the guide for the real truly born again christains in this dark world. No one can not understand the bible unless you open up to Jesus to truly repent , be bapited , and let Jesus be your master of your life. Stop looking out for the # 1 and bow down to Jesus now before that day comes everyone's knees will be bowing down and saying Jesus Christ is Lord. THAT DAY IS COMING ANYTIME NOW !!! Which side do you want to be on ? We have 2 sides here ............... God's or the devil's. You want to go to hell than do nothing. Like they said , you reap what you sow. Everyone of us has a responsibility to live right .Life is NOT consequences . Life is making decisions. Oh avoiding a decision is a decision.

The word "say" has several definitions:

1a : to express in words : STATE
1b : to state as opinion or belief : DECLARE

2a : UTTER, PRONOUNCE
2b : RECITE, REPEAT

3a : INDICATE, SHOW
3b : to give expression to : COMMUNICATE

4 : SUPPOSE, ASSUME
intransitive verb : to express oneself : SPEAK

We can use definition 1a with out meaning definition 2a.

In proper English it is perfectly correct to say, "The Bible says ..."

With love in Christ.

They don't need ur permission to say anything. Where does ur non-belief source comes from? That's right a weak man. The Bible comes from God who created you and ur source.

Christians believe, even if it's wrong, that god is talking to them via the bible. So in that sense, they are perfectly consistent in saying that the bible says something.

Nitpicking is not a substitute for truly analytic prowess.

hmmm semantics and an english lit test ,,why give out free lessons ,,is there an atheist area in Yahoo to go to to argue for Jesus so you can be annoyed by the ignorance of someone professing God,, hmmmm maybe if you thought it out the others opinons couldnt bother such a brilliant mind ,, logic and semantics aside,, why do you need to qualify or quantify your lack of belief,, is it necessary to prove your devotion to an anti-religion,, do you get points in some contest some where in the void of death and the lack of light in the outer darkness,, is there a scoreboard for hate ,,or just a lack of any compassion ,,the belief in god is a balm to a weary soul,, i buriied a friend yesterday and commended him to the care of my idea of god ,,its gods will and not mine now

Ah, but the Bible is the word of God! Therefore, we treat it as spoken word!

yeah, kinda strange... it's our way, and I'm fine with that.
