For those of you who haven't read my questions before, I have begun a running program about 3 weeks ago in order to lose weight. I eat well (follow Weight Watchers) and run for about 30 minutes a day, 4 days a week. This week, I have begun to notice that my clothes are slightly looser, and I have received comments from some friends and family that I look thinner. However, my weight has remained about the same. Maybe this is a dumb question, but can you lose inches and not weight?? If so, when will I lose the pounds, too??

Yes, you can lose inches and not drop weight. There is a couple of reasons for this:

1) Water retention.
2) You've built muscle and lost fat, which is awesome.

I think you are on the right track. My only gripe about weight watchers is that they focus solely on the scale instead of fat loss. Don't get too hung up over the numbers. You really want to drop the body fat to get the body that you want.

I think the weight loss is right around the corner for you if you continue to follow the Weight Watchers plan and continue to workout.

Keep up the good work.

I think you can lose inches and not weight, by tightening up your ab muscles. Don't know when you'd lose the pounds, though. Good luck.
