i got a 1998 limited and the main thing that sucks is that a lot of the little things are complety different from the XLT and therefore much more expensive

The 94 limited has the old faithful 302 5.0 liter V8 installed. Only problems would be DPFE sensors, cracked EGR tubes, stuck EGR valves, and perhaps in a few cases, leaking intake gaskets, and some oil consumption from bad valve seals. Nothing major, the 302 is a dependable engine, and expect good service from it. I have seen lighting control modules burn a lot on these vehicles, and transfer case speed sensors fail. None of these problems are major repairs, and you should get good use out of the Limited. Don't expect great fuel mileage, mostly in the 13-18 range, but no major defects I can report.

Keep the tires properly inflated.

Make sure that the spare was replaced along with the rest of the tires if the vehicle was under the last recall by Firestone.
