No, other people are not jealous of blondes per se. Blondes are a minority in most European cultures and, as a result, become more attractive by their rarity (see exogamous relief). It is likely that over the years, females who happen to be blonde (naturally or artificially) have probably taken advantage of this by behaving in a manner that made them more attractive to men. Until recently, this involved acting more dependent and less intelligent than their male companions, a condition that was probably never the case.

As a result, the stereotype has developed of female blondes being substantially devoid of intelligence and hypersexual. The problem with this stereotype is that it is essentially invalid. While there are probably a few female blondes that act that way, I know of a few male blondes that would be thought of in the same manner except for an accident of biology.

Well first off, I don't believe that stereotype at all, I believe that you just notice blondes more cuz of the color. BUT, I can tell you why people think that from an experience of mine, one day I was just surfing the net and I came across this thing, and read this thing about blondes, "WHY do people make fun of BLONDES? No, its because blondes such as Paris Hitlon or Jessica Simpson are portrayed on tv as being stupid, conceited airheads. I guess that's why people make fun of blondes so much. I remember I had this girl in my class who had brown hair who was known as the "airhead" of the class and whenever she made a stupid, immature comment, somebody would say "stop being a ******* blonde" or "you're a blonde at heart."

I used to have a friend that constantly made blonde jokes, I shrugged it off most the time, till I could not take it anymore. Turns out she was jeolous of all the attention I would get. Years later, I found this out. I was too nice to be mean to her. She would always do it in a jokingly manner, but it still hurt.
