Ticks and fleas love to stay around moisted area. Thus, try sprinkle powders on your dog periodically to keep his fur dry. They do sell pets powder for keeping away pesticides at the pets shop. You might want to try that as well.

Also, try avoid letting your dog go off at foreign grass patches or the beach. Most dogs get their fleas and ticks not from other dogs but places like these.

I used to work for a Vet for 3
years and learned alot of stuff. There is NO herbal remedy or natural way 2 prevent ticks and fleas from biting your pooch. Frontline is the only guaranteed solution to your problem, It is water proof, unharmful to animals, and lasts a month. You place it on the nape of the pets neck. Do to your local Vet. Trust me ,it works!

I would suggest that you take you dog to a vet because some of this stuff can hurt your dog even though you may feel that it might work remember your dog is not a human and they cant just take every and anything because it becomes dangerous and sometimes can be poision for and to them so let the experts tell you what to use because you spend your money on garbage and you sure nuff will get garbage in return yeah the vet may be a little expensive but when you opted to get a dog and take care of him that became your responsibility so get the dog to the vet and get some of that good stuff to help me get rid of the flees and ticks. You may have to bomb your living area especially if you let him sleep in your bed etc.. well good luck hope he feels better

In the first place, it is best to try to avoid places (tall grasses) with ticks and fleas-- as well as other animals that could have ticks or fleas.

You can try other oils like rosemary, citronella, or lemongrass (be careful, the wrong essential oil can be harmful if undiluted) on a collar or hankie.

Also, make sure to comb or brush your dog thoroughly after going in tall grass or other tick-infested areas.

Try putting garlic powder on it's food the fleas hate the taste but the dog loves the new flavor.

I tried everything for my dog like you are trying to find but the best thing is advantage or front line that is placed on their neck. You can get it cheap at 1-800-pet meds or go to your vet and buy it once a month. It cost $10.00-$12.00 Be sure you tell them the weight of your dog or take it there for them to weigh it..Believe me when I say that works best.. if you need to use any flea shampoo, use one with oatmeal and a conditioner. some shampoo's with perfume irritate a dogs skin. If your dog is allergic to fleas, you may need to get her on allergy shots...my friend has a dog that scratches her paws until they bleed and she has to rush the dog to the vet for a shot....watch your dog and see what may be causing the scratching....good luck

Pretty sure there is not.

Maybe if you can get it to eat garlic.

You don't have to have a collar, there are flea and tick drops that you apply at the beggining of summer and they last as long as you need them too for the year.

I have used Dawn dishwashing liquid to bathe my dogs. Just leave it on for a few mins. and it kills the fleas. And it doesnt have all those other chemicals in that the other flea products do. For some reason it works and is alot less expensive than flea shampoo. My vet told me just to bathe my dog once a week, but, I have had to bathe her more often than that. It works try it!

There's Great dog foods out there to help. Also check into using some pestacide for your yard.I've used hertz flea and tick shampoo ,did the yard and used a bomb in the house. I did this all in one day too nip it in the bud. I never had problems again.

Ok, oatmeal shampoo is a cure for the itch, it soothes irritated skin.
You can try adding garlic to their diet, but the bet thing I have found is the drops that you puton their backs, I am sorry I can't rememeber the name right now. Not the Hartz stuff, the stuff you get from the vet.
