When do I sign up for financial aid?

Question

I will be signing up for a class in Sept. and I was wondering if I need to worry about getting financial aid/loans now, or can I wait until next month when I sign up for the class. I don't want to miss any deadlines if there is any.

The class doesn't start until April 07..the sign up is in Sept..

Just a little word of advice it is best to sign up for fin. aid as soon as possible that way you can take care of anything that may be wrong. I don't think it would hurt for you to apply for it right before school starts. Just remember you have to apply for a pin number at fafsa and that can take up to a week to get. I think when I started school I filled out all my fafsa stuff probably a couple weeks before school started. Hope this helps.

Hurry, sign up right away! All this stuff takes time, and the school will be asking you for the money in a few weeks.

Your school may have a mechanism in place to help you apply for aid.

Sorry I believe you already missed all the deadlines you should have done that stuff at the beggining of the summer, I guess you could submit them for the following semester and just get it out of the way now.
