YUP- It's Polish Easter Soup. Had it all my life. It's great. Google Polish Easter Soup (or white borscht) & you'll get tons of recipes.

Easter Soup Recipe #57703
Part of our Polish Easter tradition. The slightly sour soup broth is made from the kielbasa cooking water and is served with sliced sausage and the hard boiled Easter eggs. The original version uses kvass made by soaking oatmeal and rye bread in water, instead of the vinegar. We pass around horseradish, rye bread, kielbasa and eggs and everyone adds what they want to their dish of broth. You will either love it or hate it. Prep time does not include refrigeration.
2-3 smoked kielbasa
2 quarts water
2 tablespoons white vinegar or lemon juice
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup heavy cream
salt and pepper
hard-boiled eggs

Well the easiest thing I can think of is cake. For Easter I would do a carrot cake with crem cheese frosting. The cake itself you can get out of a Betty Crocker box and the frosting you can make easily from scratch or you can buy that too. Although the home made frosting is way better. Or you can do like a strawberry cake and cram frosting just to keep with the pastel color theme that Easter usually has. Cream Cheese Frosting : 3 cups powered sugar 1 8oz package of cream cheese, softened 2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine 1 teaspoon vanilla Throw it all in a big bowl and you can mix manually (hard-ish) or use an electric mixer to combine it all till its smooth. Then frost away!
