My dog just got spayd and she is an outside dog because my mom doesn't let her in, but today she insisted she stay in the bathroom so she doesn't get infected.
I don't like locking her in the bathroom so is it okay to tei her up outside with a carpet on the floor, atleast she'll have some company with my other dog.

could it get infected that way?

She will be fine in the house. Just keep a close eye on the incision spot to make sure it is staying clean and dry. If it gets red or irriated, then you'll need to take her back to the vet.

The pet needs to rest for 7 days, make sure she doesn't lick the incision and she isn't running or jumping for 7-10 days. Make sure that u check the incision daily to make sure that there isnt anything oozing or it is red or puffy. If it has any of these features then take her back to the vet right away. Keeping her quiet and inside sounds like a good idea.

the dog needs a comfortable place to be that's warm. She needs to rest and it takes time to heal. My dog was moving around too much, although not doing much, and her stitched came apart. We had to do it all over again from the beginning, so take care of her right and hopefully your mom wont give the dog the boot. Why don't you lock your mom up in the bathroom instead? Also my dog was "traumatized" by the whole ordeal they (SPCA said but refused to elaborate!) so I gave her some "resume remedy" poured it into her water to calm her anxiety. I also gave her some "Anica" pills to help heal from within. (Homeopathic stuff) They both worked well!!

Keep her in the bathroom, it will get infected outside. She should stay in for a week. You can have her out on a leash, especially to go potty, but it is best for her to be inside for awhile.

The doctor probably gave directions on the amount of activity that is safe for the dog. When my rescue dog was spayed last year, the doc orders were to leash walk her only until she went back for suture removal. It's best to keep them inside and quiet per the doc's instructions.
