Because i was abused I constantly watch over my son in fear that it may happen to him..Am I the only one who feels like this or are there others?Am I being to over protective?

Yes I completely understand, it happened to me as child and I am overprotective of EVERY child in our family because their are some predators who no one will formally ever accuse. It is the nightmare that keeps on giving though if you keep it silent and as I was a child, are never taught about your own body and how it should be used and shouldn't be. TALK to your son about it as soon as he is old enough to understand body parts and the funtions, be as frank as his mind can understand and make sure you reinforce that no matter what anyone tells him, nothing bad will happen to you if he ever needs to talk with you about something. Knowledge is what can help end the cycle of abuse. Probably it won't ever happen again. And you can protect your son's innocence more if you make sure he knows the facts of life as much as he can understand for his age.

You are not alone at all,i was sexually abused from the age of 3 all the way up until i was 15.I constantly worry about my children.It is a very normal reaction.I watch everybody around my kids.I look at people out in public and if i see someone looking at my child i stare at that person until they go on.My children are only left with people i trust with my whole heart but still yet i observe.From time to time i talk to my children and tell them about good touching and bad touching and I ask them if anyone ever touches them the wrong way.Also i watch how they play with dolls.If i did not protect my children at all times something could happen to them and i would not ever allow that to happen.I would never want my children or anyone elses children to have to go through that,although it happens all over the world and it is so heartbreaking,i cant do anything to protect them but i can protect my own children.

i can tell you that i have been through that and i don't want my baby to go through the same the it scares me to know that i have to watch then and look out for any one who tries to be close to then that i don't know about, This is important and parents need to know that some men have no hearts they will rape a baby and i am not going to let no one abuse my baby or even rape her because i am going to be there as a mother and not neglect them because i believe when you are a child you are to act like a child i am not allowing my little girl to tell me that she is responsible to go out in the world that's when the men look at them and take them as a target to use and abuse them so yes i fear that it can happen to my child in the future.

No, you just know what can happen first hand . I was never molested or anything , but I am very protective of who gets to be around my daughter. Its our job as mothers to protect our children from perverts. There is nothing wrong with that. I hate when people let their children with whomever they can find.

in case you have confidence something i'd carry it as much as the central. If there is something happening and you dont checklist it then this would develop into something worse. in case you will call CPS rapidly then there must be fallout from telling them with out data. yet do what your heart feels is stable. If it became into me i'd tell the assumption and CPS. Then my concious would be sparkling that I did my very best

yes it is so bad when it happens to you but how awfully worse to have it happen to your child,it was a horrific thing but now you know what to look for for your child so it wont happen to them,you can never ever be to protective! there are to many sickos out there thank god for parents like you who care so much for there kids to make sure it doesnt happen to them

Yes, i know how you feel. I don't remember what took place or how long it went on. i know there was rubbing. But recently i finally told my parents and am going to counseling. its so bad i dont trust my parent, siblings and anyone in general with my toddlers. but counseling has been helping me.

there are many others who do that....
you are being a little overprotective.... just dont worry...... just because you had that experiance that doesnt mean.... he should be so overprotected'
