why would you want to paint half a car.
probably cost the same as painting the entire car.

It depends on the size of the car, the amount of prep work you want to put into it (sanding, bodywork, etc.), and the quality of the paint you want to use. Prices could range from a couple hundred to a couple thousand. Remember: you get what you pay for.
