untill they are no longer draining and drying up and scabbing over. make sure you are taking a good multi vitamin and vitamin c while it is healing. Get some drawing salve to get it to a head to drain. Do not squeeze them. Hot compresses help bring it to a head also. when it is ripe enough it will open up and drain
