No. That's not true. Did you notice that when you swallow gum, It slides right down? That's because it's not sticky enough to stick to your throat or stomache.

Probably not. Your, pardon our stomach, contains large amounts of hydrochloric acid capable of attacking and dissolving many unpleasant stuffs. Nevertheless, if swallowing gum becomes a habit, even the acid may surrender.

tests have been done on this on the learning channel and yes it does stay there for a long time but eventually will exit your system. it isn't harmful i just swallowed my gum yesterday:)

That's hotly debated. I did a project on it at school and heard a lot about 7 years - but with age and wisdom, I tend to think 7 days is probably more likely.

My granny always told me that if you swallowed your gum it would wrap around your heart and you'd die!
