*sigh* here I go copying and pasting again....
Yes, the Bible does tell slaves to obey their masters...
Ephesians 6:5
Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ.
Colossians 3:22
Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to win their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord.
1 Peter 2:18
Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh.
BUT it also stipulates that Masters treat their slaves well, which is more than we can say for the Israelites' neighbors in those days.
Ephesians 6:9
And masters, treat your slaves in the same way. Do not threaten them, since you know that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no favoritism with him.
Colossians 4:1
Masters, provide your slaves with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven.
Titus 2:9
Teach slaves to be subject to their masters in everything, to try to please them, not to talk back to them,
But when Jesus came----the slaves were no longer "slaves"
Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
But it was gonna be a while before everyone came to realize that, so God made provisions for Christian masters to treat their slaves well, until the general attitude about slavery changed.

I think slavery sucked, but it was history that happened, and because of it, came a lot of good. I AM NOT SAYING I AGREE WITH SLAVERY, BC I DON'T. Just that it is history. It made people stronger, and now stand up for what they believe in even more bc of it. I don't believe in a particular God either, so I won't touch that.

YES!!!! I am glad you understand. If not yet maybe it's time for you to find a master and then you would really know what it's all about. Who is your master?

I love these easy "thanks for the 2 points" kind of questions. You're not serious, so why should I take you seriously?
Wait a second...if you really are serious...take some advice from the movie "Stripes" and lighten up Francis.
