I'm 35 right now. and although I'm lonely at times, I would hate to have a girlfriend, unless they were the type of woman I was looking for.

I suppose I meant that I'll take something less than ideal at the age of 60. By then I'll be half-deaf and won't hear all the nagging anyways.

thats not good, u shouldnt think that other ppl should change or be the way u wanted. love should be both ways, if u ever find someone u love then u should b able to change for her too. nobody's perfect.. good luck!

Loneliness is not exclusive to "single" people. There are many married people and people in "relationships" who experience loneliness.
If the "type of woman" you are looking for is someone you can "dump" your hopes, desires, frustrations, etc. on, and not accept that that person has some hopes, desires, and frustrations they may be experiencing, indicates you are more concerned with yourself than others. I would suggest you stay single. Concentrate on your life, career. Love thyself!
What guarantee do you have that you will find "your type of woman" even at the age of 60!
