Yes, for he was pierced for our transgressions and crushed for our iniquities and the sin of of us all was laid on him.

I would say that if you would read the Gospels starting with John and then look at what Jesus did. He was nailed to a cross so he was pierced. He came to his own and they did not accept him.
I am a Christian and I also believe that the Jews are Gods chosen people. I believe that by faith I am adopted in to the family of God. I guess in some respects you could say that would make me an adopted Jew. I can deal with that.
There are many other prophesy of the Messiah and if you look at each and every one then hold them up to Jesus, you get a match. It then becomes a question of faith. I have chosen to believe.

David,
You are a christian. Stop this evil and deceptive form of missionizing. It degrades christianity.

How can it be "jewish" to believe in jesus. "Jewish" is, by defintion, what jews have historically and contemporarily believe. Since in neither scenario do we find "believing in jesus", then we must clearly realize that belief in jesus is not something "jewish". You can call it "biblical" (and still be wrong), but certainly not "jewish".
on the side, the subject of Isaiah 53 is promised a "long life" and "seed" (i.e. physical children). clearly this isn't about jesus.
and isaiah 7 is clearly not messianic if you read the whole chapter. and "alma" doesn't mean virgin either. You'd know that if you spoke hebrew (I guess it wasn't part of your "extensive jewish upbringing", huh?)
on the side, isaiah 9 can't be about jesus since, according to christianity, he's the "son" not the "father" (as the verse states). Nor did he have control of the governement (to the contrary, the roman government killed him). And he certainly did not establish "endless peace".

Yes this was about Jesus.
It was a prophesy.
And so they shall look upon Him that they have pierced.
This has to do with any one that has come to Jesus as their savior.
We all were guilty of the sin that He was sacrificed for.
Further, The Jewish people will look more closely when
He returns. For the Church will have left by that time.
When you prepare the feast of the unlevened bread do you not puncture it with a fork?
Is it not cooked with stripes?
Isa 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Psa 22:16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

I'm a Christian, albeit an 'esoteric' one... but what do you think my answer is gonna be(?): I see Jesus as the most resplendent, beautiful theophany of God possible... perhaps I'm romantisizing his life, but I love the "idea" of Jesus... if He wasn't the "Son of God," He should have been... so, whatever... He's a "hard act to follow," and if He wasn't who he said he was, then He's ruined it for me, 'cause I'll have a hard time bending my knee to any other, unless the theophany in question is ostensibly a spiritual clone of Jesus.

There are a lot of prophecies that tell of the messiah getting crucified, whipped, stabbed etc. Jesus Christ fit all those descriptions and fulfilled all those prophecies when he was crucified. So I KNOW it was Jesus

yeah, it refers to Jesus becuase many passages in the bible and i bet in the torah say that God loves his children so its possible for God to mourn his child's death as a loss to future generations who are not able to be in Jesus's healing presence as a mother would her lost child
