Boost your metabolism through-out the day. Eat small amounts of HEALTHY FOOD throughout the day. Also increase fibre in your diet, this will make you feel fuller for longer.

Eat healthy, try to eat a balanced meal 3 times a day and you can have healthy snacks in between. Don't try to starve your body because it knows better than that and it will start taking nutrients from parts of your body if it needs to survive.

That said, a glass of milk should help if you like drinking milk and maybe some protein like a small slice of meat. If that doesn't work try a protein shake before bed, but you will need some *****fat*** in what you eat so you will feel more full.

Last but not least drink plenty of water during the day and enough at night to keep you sleeping and not running to the bathroom.

Brush your teeth every time you get hungry. This helps me because I hate the way things taste after you've brushed.
Also drinking a lot of water will help you feel full. Or drink a cup of chicken broth, also makes you feel full without a lot of calories or fat.
Chew gum, eat some unbuttered popcorn, or carrots. Something crunchy that gives you the impression that your eating alot even though your really not.

If you have the will power and/or self discipline, refraining from nighttime eating for a while may be enough for you to adjust.

If you lack the self discipline, consider guilt-free snacks like fruit, cheese, vegetables, etc. I try to snack on one of those in the evening if I get hungry after dinner. Also try to determine if it's real hunger, or just habit. If it's habit and not hunger, you've got to really work on breaking it. If it's hunger, your body is telling you it needs something and you should provide it. Even consider drinking water to satisfy the empty feeling in your stomach - it works.

Don't eat junk food. Eating junk food such as sodas fills you up for that moment, but after about an hour you will feel hungry because there's no nutrition in junk food. So eat healthy and you probably won't be so hungry all the time.

Try drinking a glassful of "Naked Juice", either "Green Machine" or "Blue Machine". An eight oz glass of either has about 2 full fruit servings, including fiber. Or try having a bowl of bran flakes with soy milk about 2-3 hrs before bedtime.

Eat a well balanced meal later at night so that it will hold you over for a while. Drink water so that you feel full.

I had the same problem, 2 apple cinnamon rice cakes and a large glass of ice water. the rice cakes fill you up and the ice water will cause your insides to shiver curving your hunger and raising your metabolism. I lost 68lbs in 10 months with no other dieting.

Drink lots of water.

Don't chew gum; it stimulates digestion and makes you feel hungry.

If you must eat something, make a salad of just lettuce leaves and lemon juice.
