when you see a clock you need no proof to know that there was a wise designer and maker behind that clock, now in a greater scale look at all the order in the universe , coming and giong of seasons, day and night, rain cycle... the way our body works, hormones and.... ... ...
how can you say "oh it was all accidental" ,
the probability that it all is accidental is 0 (if you have studied probability in the mathematics)
why do you want to base your life in 0 probability??.
I am a muslim and i believe in one god who is the best , all knowing , most powerfull, ..... who created everything and sustain them and has no son and doughter or wife or a partner. who hasnt been created himself and is eternal.

***BY the way I believe god is the source of all theses beauties we see in the universe, have you thought to yourself where did all theses beauties(trees , people, rain, music, ...) come from

for those who will ask who created god ,
look you cant compare god with his creations.you cant impose the rules for creatures to god and say ok he should have a creator it is a rule. he made the rules but is not limited by them.he is eternal .
our minds can never surround
god we cant undrestand god completely
like a math problem that we say ok
I solved it,our minds is surrounded by god
but god isnt surrounded by our minds
God is eternal and doenst have a creator.
like can you tell me a number bigger than +infinity?????

well the truth is so simple as well as beautifulsome try to make it complicated.
I say if you look at a snow drop closely with a magnifying-glass that alone would be enough for you to believe in god, beacause these beauties and orders havent come from no where.and if you say the phhysical rules made the snow drop ok
then who put the physical rules there???
but some cant see the truth
are like people who look for sun by candle light .

ok the bigbang has no contradiction with the fact that god created the world. so God created the world that way.
and in fact there are verses in the Holy Quran refering to big bang.
but as you said any body has the right to choose his/her own path and,I respect that
and I shared my view with you, did that bother you?
any ways just I just want to say that Islam and sience has no contradictions and there are lots of scientific facts in the quran
that have been proven to be true in recent years with th e recent technology.

We Are Atheists Because...

* There is no proof of the existence of god.
* There is no need of, or use for, a god.
* A good god would be useless if it were not powerful.
* A powerful god would not deserve worship if he were not good.
* There is no all-powerful good god; otherwise there would be no imperfection.
* If this is the best world god can make, the stories of Heaven must be lies.
* History shows that godism is accompanied by ignorance and superstition.
* There has never been such intolerance and persecution as godists have practiced.
* Godism had to be fought when humankind made its successive steps toward science, liberty, and reform.
* Godism was invented in the earliest days of mankind's ignorance. It is incredible that primitive humans guessed wrongly about everything else, but discovered the truth about the origin of life. Everything about which science has discovered the origin was claimed previously to have been the work of a god. Godism recedes when a new fact is discovered. No new discovery ever supports a theistic explanation of anything.
* All revelation proves, on investigation, to be human, and generally fraudulent.
* Godism is consistent with crime, cruelty, envy, hatred, malice, and uncharitableness.

Atheism Teaches That...

* There is no heavenly father.
Humankind must protect the orphans and foundlings, or they will not be protected.

* There is no god to answer prayer.
Man must hear and help man.

* There is no hell.
We have no vindictive god or devil to fear or imitate.

* There is no atonement or salvation by faith.
We must face the consequences of our acts.

* There is no beneficent or malevolent intent in nature.
Life is a struggle against preventable and unpreventable evils. The cooperation of humankind is the only hope of the world.

* There is no chance after death to "do our bit."
We must do it now or never.

* There is no divine guardian of truth, goodness, beauty, and liberty.
These are attributes of humankind. We must defend them or they will perish from the earth.

MUSLIM neighbor I was just wondering.Since you say Mohammad is
God (which he is not)How could that be if his mother was here before
he came into existence? Why is Mohammad still in his grave? My
God Jesus is ALIVE and has a BODY.
Throughout the Hebrew Scriptures, two chief names are used for the one true divine Being -- Elohim, commonly translated God in our version, and Jehovah, translated Lord. Elohim is the plural of Eloah, (in Arabic, Allah); it is often used in the short form, El, (a word signifying strength, as in El-Shaddai, God Almighty, the name by which God was specially known to the patriarchs. Gen_17:1; Gen_28:3; Exo_6:3.
1Jo 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.1Jo 4:3 وَكُلُّ رُوحٍ لاَ يَعْتَرِفُ بِيَسُوعَ الْمَسِيحِ أَنَّهُ قَدْ جَاءَ فِي الْجَسَدِ فَلَيْسَ مِنَ اللهِ. وَهَذَا هُوَ رُوحُ ضِدِّ الْمَسِيحِ الَّذِي سَمِعْتُمْ أَنَّهُ يَأْتِي، وَالآنَ هُوَ فِي الْعَالَمِ. Joh 10:37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
Joh 10:38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

The reason people bring in 'who created god' is because your logical 'proof' is based on it; therefore, if one uses your logical mechanism then it's completely flawed except, of course, if we start making our own exceptions. In terms of probability of life, there are cosmologies that talk about an infinite cycle of universes starting and ending; given that, all possibilities will occur at least once and life would be one of them. Of course, these are models and may or may not be true. That said, what is god? Is it the god you've been taught to believe in? If you were born into another culture and family, you'd believe differently. And with different concepts of god. Why not go for a direct experience of god that is beyond all concepts? In Islam, the Sufis -- most notably Rumi -- had the experience of enlightenment that gave him direct experience of god -- something that is beyond all concepts.

I don't need to know how or why a clock works. I just need to know that someone else knows. I mean, I've no idea of what makes a clock move, but I know other people do, and that's enough.

Besides, I do say that the world IS "accidental" as you say, or statistical, as I put it. Look, for all we know, the universe is infinite, so the chances that one of the worlds in it was going to have the right conditions for life to exist were very high.

But that is not my problem with religions. My problem is that in the name of an alleged superior being, we are told to worship his supposed superiority and power, so we don't go to hell, supposedly... That's too much assumption to my taste!

Have you ever heard of The Big Bang?? There is always a scientific answer to everything. I'm not a scientist and I am not able to explain it all..nobody knows for sure about how the world began or the life that is on it. It's all speculation. The world is a beautiful place and I consider myself lucky to be experiencing it. Religion is a personal and private affair. Humans have the right to take whatever spiritual path they choose in order to get them through this crazy life. To be fighting over who is right or wrong is senseless. It doesnt matter. What matters is that we live with love and compassion in our hearts and realize that we share this world together and we all need to work TOGETHER to make it a better place for us ALL to live, no matter what your religious belief is. Spread love, not hate.

I know the clock on the wall was made by a clever little biological life form that evolved to understand ways to make clever little devices. Now the biological life form doesnt understand everything and is scared of its non-existence as part of its biological drive. So this little life form invented a after life that is all that it can dream it to be. The thing that was smart enough to make clocks, and watches and learn to see atoms just tricks itself into feeling religion.

Life arose entirely by accident, but not "all at once, it was a long incremental process with lots of mistakes and dead ends, and there are models and explanations for the basics of how. In fact if you look at how imperfect much of life is, to believe there is an "Intelligent Designer" is to believe that God makes dumb mistakes.

The universe is largely a multitude, some bits of who-is conscious-what type of stuff heaped in untidy piles with great areas between them. it truly is FAIL to benefit it to a clock, which became deliberately designed for a particular purpose. Snowflakes are the shape they are with the aid of intrinsic houses of hydrogen and oxygen; particularly, the attitude between both O-H bonds interior the H2O molecule. There would not should be someone who gave the elements their intrinsic houses. finally, have you ever stopped to evaluate that for a universe that only works via itself to get up spontaneously remains far a lot less not likely than for a "merciful" God who enjoys shelling out a painful doom to get up spontaneously?

What serves you as a substitute for logic and reason is a logical fallacy (a flaw in thinking) known as the "Argument From Incredulity"... which is a sub-category of the "Argument ad Ignorantiam" (Argument From Ignorance). It goes something like this: "I can't conceive of how this might have come to be; therefore, God did it."

That does not represent a limitation of nature... it represents a limitation of knowledge or intellect. Additionally, it is intellectually dishonest... it does not ACKNOWLEDGE the limitation of knowledge or intellect... it appeals to a fanciful, imaginary, supernatural entity to create the ILLUSION that your cognitive dissonance has been resolved. It substitutes 'faith' for fact, and 'belief' for knowledge. Neither faith nor belief are sufficient to sustain reason... they are only sufficient to sustain willful ignorance.

That is the epitome of self-delusion.

Before the universe was created.. there was nothing absolute darkness... The only thing that existed was energy because energy is eternal. I would like atheists and skeptics across the globe to explain how the first materials, elements and atoms appeared out of nowhere and was introduced to the energy to create this massive universe.
