I recently gave an asnwer and it gave me an idea:
If American citizens started illegally entering any other country on earth and increased any problems that country had, what would that countries government do? They would tell our leadership to get their own people under control and stop the illegals from leaving because they are increasing problems for us and your citizens are not ours so we shouldn't have to take care of them.
Why cant our government do the same? Tell Vincente he needs to get his problem under control and he has to pay for his people to become citizens of America if he does not want them to leave. This should be HIS problem not ours and HE should have to pay to fix it. I'm sure he doesn't want his country to be run to the ground with his exports stopped and his economy crushed when the good old U.S.A. stops buying goods from him. Anyone agree? Respectful criticism is also appreciated.

It would be nice - but it isn't realistic. Vincente Fox and Mexico benefits from the current situation. The uneducated workers go to the US, earn 10 x as much as they would in Mexico and then the workers send a good portion of their pay back to Mexico. Illegal Immigration is the largest source of income over any other industry in Mexico.
We really can't force another country to do something. We can ask and work through diplomatic channels - but there is no guarantee anything would get done. I live near Dallas, Texas and the large County hospital recently sent Mexico a bill for over $20 million for care provided to Mexican citizens in Dallas. It was more symbolic than anything - no one thinks Mexico will pay up - but this illustrated just how much this situation is costing us in money and stretching our resources.
The situation is out of hand and we must secure our border.

No it doesn't work like that. Why America is still the best country to live in the world. Second Fox could not stop the immigration if he wanted to. Try not to be one sided on this issue. If i was poor in Mexico i would be desperate to get to the jobs and better life in America too. You have to understand its a question of survival and quality of life for these people. **** most of us take for granted.---How i would fix this; These people come for jobs. Period they would rather stay in Mexico but there is not work there. I would make punishment for hiring an illegal so extreme that an American employer would not even think about it. Then i would pass a tattle tail reward so eyes and ears would be everywhere. Use the fines to pay for the follow up of leads people turn in. If American'S weren't willing to hiring them they would not be here. --The solution is so simple its stupid.--FACT MEXICO HAS THE HIGHEST % OF MILLIONAIRES IN THE WORLD--i use to think PARIS HILTON TYPE PUNCHED THE GOLDEN TICKET(WON THE GENE LOTTERY) UNTIL I SAW www.miniearth.com THEN I REALIZED I TOO PUNCHED THE TICKET WHEN I WAS BORN WHITE MIDDLE CLASS IN AMERICA. check it out its eye opening.

I dont believe that u have presented a solution but a problem. Telling the president of mexico to control his people will be useless, he already knows what the problem is. Cutting down on trade with mexico would make things worse, it will produce more illegal immigration into our country. Mexicans and other latin americans come for jobs because they cant get it in their home country. We should try making a better free trade association not only with mexico but with all south american countries.

Well it is a thought! But who the hell wants to live in Mexico?!?!?
It would be a good idea to start billing these countries for the support of their people that are being supported by US funds. Maybe they would start doing more for their people to keep them home! I am talking about the ones who are in jail and getting government assistance, and going to our hospitals and not paying their bills!

It's an idea.
In Mexico, they try, fine, and deport you. Try to enter illegally again, and you're banned.
I can't remember which country someone told me they were from, but they said that illegals are tried, fined, deported, and in severe cases, beaten...... don't know if it's true as I can't remember the country to check the law. If you find out, let me know.

I think we ought to give ,convicted for life, convicts the option of going to Mexico and blowing themselves up. Throw in some imaginary virgins, too.

Because Bush and Fox are really secret lovers and they poke eachother on frequent visits...
It won't work anyway... They are richer than the richest! (Besides Bill Gates maybe, and a few others)...

actually i agree with you. i don't mind someone trying to better themselves but obey our laws if that is what they want to do. we as us citizens have to obey our laws and so should anyone else who wants to live here. i believe anyone caught hiring a illegal should be fined, anyone renting to an illegal should also be fined. if they want to live here do the legal way. but that is only my opinion.
blessed be,
Elizabeth
