My husband embarasses our 12 year old daughter in public everytime he gets the chance. Your dad isn't the only one who does this, kiddo.
My husband even FARTS right next to our daughter in Wal-Mart or the graocery store, and then says really loud "EWWWW!!! (my daughter's name) That's gross!!" LOL
He thinks it's sooooo funny, but my daughter is humiliated.

I think it's just a way of your dad trying to connect with you, cuz you're probably growing up and a guy has no clue as to what's going on with their little girl growing up, so he does anything to keep your attention.

Don't worry, it will pass...maybe. I'm 28 and my dad still embarasses me when he gets the chance!

I am a single father and my babygirl is about to start 2nd grade. This ? and answers has learned me a little bit.I like to grab hold of her and start kissing her on the cheek, neck, shoulders, and head or just wherever else I can get her.She always just laughs her little butt off.I asked her what she would do if I done that in front of her friends, she said she would be embarrassed. So I haven't done it yet.I love her more than my next breath and I want her to be my babygirl forever. It is hard to face the fact that she is growing up,I think it's just another way to hold on as long as he can.Don't let it get to you be happy.Your daddy loves you that's more than a lot of kids can say.

Grow up, when your dad is no longer around you will kick yourself for feeling this way. Do you honestly think that you are the only one that thinks this? Everybody does at some point, you just have to laugh at it.

Fathers just can't help themselves... My dad has done plenty of embarrassing things over the years, but they make for great stories. Whenever we go out to eat he always does something to make us laugh and hide behind our menus.

Some dad always look at their daugthers as their little girl even though you have grown up they still see you as just that. he loves you and means nothing by it, but he would one day realize you have grown up give him a chance to.

Would you rather have a dad that is the most boring one of the earth? My dad is exactly the same way, and as much as it embarasses me, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Throw it back in his face sometimes. He'll drop me off somewhere and as I'm walking away, really loudly he'll start yelling "BYE ASHLEY!!! BYE SWEETHEART!!! I LOVE YOU!!! BYE!!!." I've learned to turn it around. I turn around and yell back. "BYE DAD!! I LOVE YOU TOO!!! BYEE!!!!"

dont think of your dad embarrasing you, he is just acting out the scared, fearful young man he was when you were born. try talking to him. tell him how you feel and that you love him and always will. some of us dont get that chance to be embarrased by thier dads. mine died when i was 3. all i remember of him was his blue eyes looking at me with love in them. once you become an adult with kids, then you will understand. good luck and try to be patient with him. he learns everyday just like you do.

He's probably afraid of you turning into a young lady. He probably wants you to continue to be his little girl, and you can't be. You are growing up, and he may be having a hard time handling it.

it's your age. My Dad used to embarrass me too, but now I think he's a riot. It just comes with age.
