When I made 7.50 per hour, I calculated 6.92 x the numebr of hours i worked to get my check amount
Then when I moved to 8.25 per hour I calculated 7.62 x number of hours to get it.
Today i got a raise to 9.00 per hour (YAY!) - - but at the rates above how can i figure how much I make per hour after taxes?
HELP!!!

Rather than just give you the answer, let me show you how I got it so next time you won't need help.

6.92 / 7.50 = 0.922666
7.62 / 8.25 = 0.922666

therefor
9 * 0.922666 = 8.30

As your income increases your tax rate increases which means you might wind up with a few cents less than what I show.

Take the gross wages and mulitply by 80% (taxes are probably about 20%). That should give you a good ball park figure.
