GPA is Grade Point Average.
You can calculate your GPA in the following fashion:
Add together all your grades and then divide by the number of classes.
Grades are given point values like so:
A=4 pts
B=3pts
C=2pts
D=1pt
For example... a 4.0 GPA means a straight 'A' average.
Anything higher than a 4.0 usually means Honors level or upper level classes (like AP.) Theses grades become "weighted" and hold higer point values.
The scores you presented are dependent as to where you're from... Percentages don't translate out the same everywhere.
For example... a 70 percent at Napa High School is a C-, at West Carteret High School (3,000 miles away, but still in the US) is a D----
You hae to know your letter grades and your teacher's/school's grading scale to calculate for sure.
