New York or California? And why?

Honestly, it depends on my mood.
NYC is an exciting place to visit. Central Park, the nightlife, baseball, all the museums, broadway, the list can go on.
I have visited California a few times. My favorite is San Diego. It has great beaches, friendly people and a lot to do. Saying that, I usually spend most of my time there on the beach.
If I want an active vacation, I'd go to NYC. If I wanted to sit around and be lazy, then I'd go to San Diego.

I would rather go to California because I already live in NY, but if I didn't, I'd suggest to visit New York over California. It is more accessible, and you don't need to rent a car or anything, but in California you do in many places.

It depends on how much time you have and what you enjoy and the time of year. The only reason I would pick NY is if it was fall and I went to the Adirondacks or if I hadn't been to Manhattan and I liked big cities. Otherwise I would visit the National Parks in California plus Tahoe, Monterey, Hearst Castle and McCloud near Mt. Shasta. Skip the big cities and try to stay at the NP lodges if possible. I wouldn't go south of Fresno.

Well Im going to Cali in a day and I have lived in NY for 12 or 13 years...But NY is a great place.

California! It is warmer and the mountains in the north are beautiful! I recommend everyone to go to Lake Tahoe. The views are absolutely amazing and so is the skiing.
