Oh yeah they certainly were great fights. In the first one Hearns was hurting Leonard with that jab of his and well on his way to a decision win, when Leonard with one eye nearly closed came roaring back and winning in the 14th round. The second fight was not for a titile but nonetheless a great fight that was declared a draw though I believe that Hearns deserved the decision. Yes I would say they were evenly skilled. Duran intimidated Leonard the first fight and still won a very close decision. The second fight was the famous no mas fight and disappointing.

Hagler-Hearns was the most exciting 3 rounds ever
Hagler-Duran was boring as hell
Hagler-Leonard was alright
Duran-Leonard 1 was a great welterweight fight
Duran-Leonard 2 was a ripoff because Duran quit
Hearns-Leonard 1 was one of the best welterweight title fights I've ever seen
Hearns-Leonard 2 happened 21 pounds too late
Hearns- Duran was a blow out

good question. even inspite of the undeniable fact that each individual touched on the info I accept as true with you that Marvin Hagler is huge type one. exceptionally when you're score them as Middleweights. a million. "remarkable" Marvin Hagler 2. Tommy 'The Hit-guy" Hearns* 2. "Sugar" Ray Leonard* 3. Roberto "Manos de Piedra" Duran * i imagine Tommy and Ray are tied because of the draw and their close first strive against. If score them by technique of middleweight accomplishments then i'd provide The Hit-guy the nod over Sugar Ray when you consider that he actually fought different fighters in the Middleweight branch for a era of time. the the finest selection contention's made by technique of guys who were no longer scared to project one yet another. Marvin the the finest selection middleweight (definite even more effective efficient than Hopkins). Hearns grow to be the most exciting fighter of the 4 as a results of his brutal ko's of fighters and tremendous nickname. Ray is evidently the most polished boxer who grow to be that era's golden boy and each thing he touched did turn to gold. Roberto the suited fighter era without weight decrease in touch.

"Some of the Best" yes, but the Hearns-Leonard rematch was too little too late (and Hearns got robbed). I think the Hopkins-Trinidad fight is a far better Middleweight bout. Of all their bouts I think the Hagler-Hearns and Leonard-Hearns I were the best.

Absolutely. Anytime 3-4 middleweights can steal the attention away from the heavies, they are some of the best of all time. Another example of this is current times, with Hopkins, Jones Jr., De La Hoya, et al putting on some great fights.

That was a great era. The only other era comparable was the mid to late forties.
Magnificent athletes at the top of their game fighting one another. I would have to say, at the end of the day, that Sugar Ray Leonard emerged as the best of the bunch.

no, i don't think so. hagler was too much for hearns(my guy) and duran was no mas for sugar ray. i liked all 4 fighters and can rank them as some of the best fighters but not the best fights.

I think they were the best. For each fight there was a high expectation and they meet these expectations.
