Never heard of a haircut, for know of no tool used that will give split ends. Split ends are the result of wear on ones hair-a lot of brushing-esp when wet which is a no no-hair weaker when wet, playing with ones hair-finger twirling and so on-never chew hair, using rollers, curling irons and so on. The less you do to your hair including having it windblown a lot,the less split ends. Poor diet, not enough protein(hair is mostly protein) or insufficient Vit/minerals esp silica why daily Multi-Vitamin supplement with Silica is good to take. Its a good idea to have a Health Cut every 6wks or so-means hair is simply groomed to get rid of split ends for once split impossible to repair-products can only smooth hair but repair-only way is to cut and having periodic health cuts prevents split ends getting problematic.

Split ends are caused by stretching the hair when it is wet. It then snaps back and the ends split. What does this is brushing wet hair. Only brush dry hair. Use a comb on wet.

What? What is a "haircutter"? Do you mean a hairdresser? or are you looking for scissors? If u mean going to a salon for a haircut....they actually cut off your split ends. surely u know that?

Im not sure why you think it would give you split ends? Dry, damaged or long hair is prone to split ends if you dont trim often, it has nothing to do with getting it cut.

split ends occur over time as the hair dries and begins to seperate where it was cut. It doesn't matter what type of cut you get, unless you go totally bald.
