i don't think it should be allowed period...

i believe you should carry the baby to term and give it up for adoption, or keep it...

whether you got it by force, purpose, or accident, its a gift of life, you should want to terminate it...

what if your mom was raped and choose not to keep it, you wouldn't be here....

there are people out there that want children and cant have them...

Abortion is a very touchy subject, I myself couldn't fathom ever having one. There are way to many birth control options out there. They say that a woman should have the choice to have the baby or not, but if the woman wants a baby and the father doesn't he can't force her to have an abortion and will still be financially responsible in the end. Is that fair? If you're using birth control and still get pregnant maybe God had that happen for a reason. I do however think if abortion was only allowed in the event of rape there would be a ton of rape accusations made, and innocent men would be jailed because someone wanted to abort their unborn baby. I am strongly against partial birth abortion I don't think that should be allowed ever, if you have to wait that long to have an abortion stay pregnant and opt for adoption, it's murder you still have to deliver your baby regardless and it could survive once out of your body. If you don't know the details of partial birth abortion look it up on-line I'm sure anyone would be disgusted and against it. So back to the original question if abortion is going to be allowed it should not only be in the event of rape I think it would cause way to many women to cry rape because of their own carelessness.

Very interesting question although i dont think it should be allowed.Rape is very tragic, that is undeniable.Babies cannot help that situation or that it took place, why punish them?I believe that in the event of rape there is still that option of putting that baby up for adoption. There are so many familys who want children so badly, and they have so much love to give a child and the finances to raise a child but they cannot have them for health reasons or other reasons that their body just does not allow them to conceive or carry a child. Why not allow a family to love this child reguardless of the circumstances in which it was brought into this world? There isnt one in my book.Again, this is only my opinion.I cannot speak for everything but this is what i think.I think and strongly believe that even as a fetus every human deserves a chance at life.

No. I think abortion should be allowed at the mother's discretion. It's her body and her life. If a person knew that she wasn't ready or wanted kids I would rather have that person have an abortion then to have that child be abused/neglected throughout their childhood.

If a mother wasn't ready to have a child I would rather see her have an abortion and give herself the oppurtunity to better herself then to struggle raising a child. I know that it may have been a mistake for a person to get pregnant in the first place but why make a 2nd mistake by keeping a child that wasn't wanted.

yes!! The Peron raped is going to see the child and remember their horrible experience!!! How can anyone live like that!!

Evey one feels sorry for a person in that position and say no, that you should not have an abortion but what if it were you in that situation? how would you feel to know a baby is growing inside of you and that the fatter is a man that did horrible things to you?

are you a guy? then i don't think you should be concerned with this issue. you don't understand it. abortion should be legal, and is. in the amount of time it would take for a court to determine rape, it would be too late for an abortion. women are capable of making good decisions concerning their own lives and bodies.

Someone close to me was raped and pregnant as a result. This is to qualify my next few statements.

It is truly an unfortunate series of events when a situation like this happens. However, taking a life in response is does not make it right. It only makes it worse.

No, there are many other good reasons for a person to choose abortion....medical complications being one of the most important.
