Oddly enough, my fiance who just proposed last night says that sex has an odor. Not OUR sex only, but everyone who has sex. It just has an odor. He referred to the song..."can't u smell that smell". I have never heard of sex having an odor. Trying to look it up on the internet is not working. My friend says its completely true that sex has an odor to it; that it doesn't smell bad or good, you can just smell it. If these two people who are so close to me say it's true, shouldn't I believe them? My main question is....has anyone heard that 'sex stinks'? For all the people with too much time on their hands and want to give out nasty or rude comments, skip this one. I only want to know if this has been heard of by anyone else and if so, why isn't it spoke of?

I don't know about sex stinking, but I know that sex has a smell. I know what sex smells like, you just know it. Its a combination of things, but you know it when you smell it. Maybe you're used to the smell and you just cannot set it apart, but sex does have a smell.

Oddly it has a sligthly different smell everywhere you do it. Possibly because of the different combinations of scents.

He must have a very sensitive sense of smell? Every person has a slightly different body chemistry and therefore a body can emit an odor, such as what you can detect when a person is sweating heavily. When a female is aroused and lubricates there can be a slight odor, but not unpleasant. A males semen has an odor to it. Sometimes when having spontaneous sex and working up a sweat, there can be an odor that originates from the anus if it is not totally clean. My suggestion, if he is so concerned, the both of you should take a shower (together) before sex. If he still complains, I think he is being too particular and you should be on the lookout for future problems. I wish you the best of luck.

I've noticed a musky odor afterwards (and during, some times). It's not bad, but it's definitely there.

Have you had any head or brain injuries? I know a person who had a closed head injury and lost their sense of smell. How about your sense of taste? Is that very sharp, or kind of so-so? Taste and smell are closely linked, so if one is poor, they may both be.

Yea, my parents have sex and then in the morning their room smells, i don't necessarily like it though. Well it's more of their restroom that smells. It's a pretty weird thing. Not that it's bad, i just personaly think it's a weird smell.

All bodily functions have an odor. Sex shouldn't be a bad odor. I hope!

Sex in general, or pheromones?

Sex in general is normally sweaty, etc. That can cause an "odor". Other then that, normal human pheromones/hormones released during sex CAN smell.
