you can try. It is a little early for him to start being potty trained. Tell him if he needs to go to the bathroom to tell you. If he makes it, reward him with a small treat. If not remind him for next time but be firm.

Being able to take off his diaper is not generally a sign that a child is ready for potty training. It is probably more of just something he figured out how to do and is pretty pleased with himself that it gets a fun reaction from mom. 2 things that I have used successfully with kids with a propensity for taking off diapers is 1) put the diaper on backwards so the tape ends face the back and not the front. Untaping from this angle is considerably more difficult for little fingers working on fine motor skills and 2) dress him in outfits that are one piece with no snaps in the crotch. He'll have to figure out how to undress himself first to get to his diaper. Some little ones are pretty persistent and do figure out how to get naked as a jaybird just minutes after getting him dressed. It is my experience that most children are between 2 and 3 before they posses the skills and interest to begin potty training. I have had several children over the age of 3 before beginning potty training, but none younger than 2.

He's probably a bit young to be reliable on the potty. But if you have a potty chair, it wouldn't hurt to introduce him to that when he takes off the diaper. The main thing with potty training is to let it happen naturally, and don't let him think that he's doing YOU a favor by using the potty. If he has a male role model around who lets him go in the bathroom and casually observe, that will help.

that could be a sign try monitoring how often he wets if its pretty much consistant and is it less than usual then he may be ready for introduction but i wouldnt assume he is ready just yet start taking him in there when you go to the potty let him sit if he wants try to get a routine going but dont push him to do anything take your time he's only a year old , and monitor him in the potty cause at that age they are more likelt to put a whole roll of tissue in the toilet or stick their fav. toy down there and flush in other words play instead of pee and that could be a sign of hem not being ready just yet. but theres nothing wrong with starting him early.

Boys are harder to potty train. My friends son was 3 when he was potty trained. You could try it or just give him some pull ups

My son started doing that a month ago... He is gonna be 2 next month... I read boys aren't ready to potty train until 30 months... I do sympathize with you...

Nope much too soon. Just try to keep him occupied doing something else
He'll grow out of it.
Till he is about 15, then it all starts again. Hard to convince them it's best to keep his pants on.
