If you take the first three weeks the way you're supposed to, you can have sex during that last week and not get pregnant. However, they are just sugar pills -- they're the break from the hormones that allows you to get your period. So if you ONLY took those, not the other three weeks, then you could totally get pregnant.

You can still have sex and not get pregnant---they are sugar pills and their main purpose is so you will remember to take one every day, and so you won't forget to start the next pack on time. Your body will have a regular period that week. If you skip the other ones that you take the first three weeks though there is a greater chance of getting pregnant. Also if you have just started taking the pill, you may want to use another method for a whole month or two while your body adjusts to the cycle to be absolutely sure. Hope this helps :)

The pills are designed so that you take 3 weeks of hormones, and then take a week off from the hormones. This '3 on, 1 off' cycle is meant to protect you from pregnancy 100% of the time. So, as long as you take the hormonal pills correctly, you are safe from pregnancy when taking the non-hormonal ones. By the way, if you had not figured this out already, the only purpose of the non-hormonal pills is to keep you in the habit of taking a pill a day; there is no medication of any kind in them. so you could miss one or skip them entirely and would be no more likely to get pregnant.

Hormonal Pills To Get Pregnant

They are placebo. They are only used so you stay on track for taking your pill. If you have been taking the pill regularly for several months you should not get pregnant during that week, unless there is some other underlying condition such as taking certain antibiotics, that can weaken the effectivness of the pill. I have a 17 year old "oops" baby. I was taking Amoxicylin and the pill and got pregnant.

i do not recognize the specifics of the Yaz pills, yet in case you'd be on birth control, take it good, which ability take each and every pill. A missed pill with decrease the efficacy of the birth control and improve your probability of having pregnant. if you're taking a 21 day %., each and every pill has hormones, and also you want to take all of them. if you're taking a 28 day %., the perfect 7 pills are placebo pills or sugar pills - which ability they don't have any hormones in them. per chance those are the white pills you're refering to. those pills are reminder pills, so that you do not forget to take any pills. in case you particularly don't like them, then talk which includes your clinician about switching to a 21-day %., yet i might want to signify you purely proceed to take them to shop your self on a time table. wish this facilitates some.

You can get pregnant if you have taken some medications which can alter the effects of the hormonal pills you have taken. Hormonal pills are taken to inhibit ovulation and the non-hormonal pills in your pack are taken on the days which ovulation is not expected based on the calculation of your menstrual cycle.

No, you CANNOT get pregnant, assuming you have taken your other pills when and as directed. Technically, you should be having a period when taking these placebo pills but if start/stop early or choose to have sex anyhow, you will not get a pregnant.

Personally, I always skipped these pills since they have no active meds and I hate taking pills.
