I just opened a bottle of Stonyfield Farms Smoothie (wild berry, if youre curious hah). Well I have had these before and I must say they were delicious. But this time I was opening it, having a hard time because I'm weak after waking up from a nap (I'm sorry, I digress). Well, this time I found there was no foil seal underneath the cap. I took a sip, it tasted kinda wierd, or it could have been me being paranoid. Should I trust it even though they 'forgot' to put the foil seal on it? It's sitting in my fridge right now, waiting for the okay go. Thanks for reading through my paranoia and taking a whack at my question.

They didn't forget to put the seal on it. Someone popped a Rufie in your smoothie and at any moment you will be taken advantage of. If you drink it, be prepared to suffer the consequences.

Do you really know exactly what goes into that awful (swell tasting) stuff. Firstly the milk has come from cows that are substitute feed soy (very bad product, contrary to popular belief) in the winter months, the cows are injected with anitbiotics, and god knows what else. After the milk has reached its use-by-date it is taken to another factory and blasted with harmful chemicals to turn it to a powder. The flavours come from food that is not good for animal let alone human consumption. Yeah but it tastes good, so it surely must be good for you? No way. The FDA (Food & Drug Authority) deem most ingredients as GRAS (Generally regarded as safe) well I want to know WHO it is generally regarded as safe for? The young, the infirmed, the elderly, the fit & healthy?

Was it the Wasabi Hampster blend? They don't use foil on that one because it reacts with the natural red and the fur clumps. Texture is key to a good smoothie.

NO! No protection equals no eating/drinking. You have no idea what someone could have done to it. I'd rather be safe than sorry. Some big hairy guy could have dipped his junk in it and put the top back on...gross!

they cant just forget to put foils on, they are put on by machines, and if they dont get put on, the people then take it off of the 'belt' so that it will not be packaged, i would not drink it, just to be on the safe side.

I'd say dump it down the sink. It's not worth risking food poisoning.
