BUG BOMBS!

Best I can tell you is to take a cat to a groomer and see if you could leave them over night while you and your family leave the house as well and you bomb your house with flea killer and after the bomb is done you go in and air the house and clean all fabric in the washing machine and shampoo the rugs if you can and if not at least vacume and when all that is done bring the cats home. See if the doc has a garlic pill that they can give the cats as well. It is alot of work but if the fleas are biting your ankles already you have a serious problem.

I have never had that problem but friends of mine have and here is what we did for them..(recommended by a vet).. IF the cats will allow themselves to be bathed.. then bathe them with a good flea shampoo... If they do not like water, then get a good..flea powder and powder them well.. then remove the cats to another location temporarily and then with a sprayer (a sprayer from Home Depot) and use a good flea concentrate and spray ALL the areas where the cats sleep or roam.. everyplace... then let the cats back out again and then in one week's time.. repeat the operation all over again. the reason for the second time is because fleas have eggs and if you kill the existing fleas, in one week, the eggs will hatch and then you spray again to kill them... It is somewhat time consuming but well worth it.

I forgot.. keep in mind that it is not good enough to JUST treat the cats.. you must treat the area where they sleep and roam in the house.

Borax sprinkled on the carpets is good, Iv'e used it. Redo the advantage or go with frontline. I have heard that fleas are attracted to heat so put a pan of soapy water under a nightlight. Fleas jump in and sink. Wipe kids skin with skin so soft from Avon. Mix a bit of garlic with kitties food and kiddies food if they'll go for it. It seems to make the eater less tasty to the fleas.

First of all, use FRONTLINE. IT's better than advantage. Once you dose your cat, vacuum your entire house. Wait exactly two days and then dump some anti-flea powder on the floor. Just leave it on there for several hours. Rub it into the carpet with a broom. Vacuum the whole house again.

Wait exactly one week, then dump that medicine all over again and leave it on the floor for several hours. Then vacuum again.

The trick is to get the sleeping eggs to wake up. They wake up because of vibration. It takes a couple days for them to wake up. WHen you dump medicine, it kills only those fleas that are awake. When you vacuum over and over, it forces the eggs to keep waking up. When you keep dumping the medicine, it kills the fleas immediately, before they can lay more eggs.

This is the only way you will get them all to die. ANd make sure to give your cat Frontline as indicated on the box for at least 3 months.

By the way, make sure to empty the carpet bag after every vacuuming to prevent spreading eggs around.

Open a flea circus in your house. Make up some pretty posters and put up ads all over town.
Or...
stop letting your cats run around outside unchecked. Then get the flea stuff and fumigate your residence. Fleas love carpeting.

LAVENDER!!!
regular flea collors wont always work.....

use lavender oil....you can get it in the perfume department at any store...even a dollar store....

put a dab on the back of your cats neck (so it can't lick it off)...
then put several dabs in the rooms where the fleas are...in the carpet, in the chairs....it will NOT stain...

the fleas hate the smell so they will leave.

treat you cats & the rooms once a month.

this will work....My cat uses this because flea power & collars & medications make her sick. She has reactions....the Lavender is an all natural remidy that actually works & does better...& works extremely fast.

You will need to fumigate your home and bath your cats in a flea dip before bringing them back into your home. You can bath your cats and kill the fleas only to have them return because they will drop eggs in you carpet or furniture.
