Try and document everything that this person does, just the false claims stuff, or anything like that, so it does not seem that you are out to take revenge of any kind, so it will look like you are just trying to follow the law in this matter, so that when needed, this person should eventually be charged with filing false claims, among other charges, you will have a much stronger case. Watch your back as well, there is no telling what someone who does this kind of thing will do.

Making a false police report is a FELONY! There is a myriad of legal options that could be pursued, it just depends on how much time and money that it is worth to you. You could sue, etc. But my main ? is why is your local police department not doing their job, and filing charges on him? Are they that bored, that they have nothing better to do then investigate his false claims. In my city their are bigger crimes going on, and the P.D. doesn't have time for games! What kind of claims is he making?

The person who is filed agaist, can sue that person for filing a false police report, a civil action where you sue for money

The police could charge them with filing a false police report.

Most times if the person is known, the police don't ever actually take a report, they merley write this info down and throw it away after he leaves, or files in in the "nut case" file

If there is no truth in what this guy is reporting - either you (or the "offending party") or the police can charge him with filing a false report. It also could be criminal harassment. If he's using the 'phone to call in the complaint - here it would be aggravated harassment - "A" Misdemeanor.

If you do not want stupid answers, perhaps you ought to learn how to write. Do you have a problem with a person who calls the police reporting others making false claims, or is the person making false claims about others? How about No Stupidly written questions?

You need to talk to some professional people about this. First I suggest you go to the local police station and ask their advice, then, if possible talk to a lawyer. Sometimes you can get free legal councelling, check this at your local town hall, city hall, library, or local information center. This person seems to be a public nuisance, and it should be easy to get a cease and desist order against him.

The police do not like this sort of thing and will arrest them if they are made aware of it. I would discuss it with your local DA.
