Depends mate. For some of us like me eternal slumber sounds ace. For others a bit more go getting it might be a pain.
Perhaps those idiots who are arrogant enough to suppose as a barely sentient being (smarter than the average ape) they deserve more, nah they'll be dead like everyone else who went before them. We aint that special. I'm lookin forward to a good kip.

I think they are determined before you are born.
Buddhism and Judaism say it is laid on for you when you are born, but you have Free Will to change it.
One fundamental belief of Buddhism is often referred to as Reincarnation - the concept that people are reborn after dying. In fact, most individuals go through many cycles of birth, living, death and rebirth. A practicing Buddhist differentiates between the concepts of Rebirth and Reincarnation. In Reincarnation, the individual may recur repeatedly. In Rebirth, a person does not necessarily return to Earth as the same entity ever again. He compares it to a leaf growing on a tree. When the withering leave falls off, a new leaf will eventually replace it. It is similar to the old leaf, but it is not identical to the original leaf.
After many such cycles, if a person releases their attachment to desire and the self, they can attain Nirvana. This is a state of liberation and freedom from suffering.
Judaism also believes in Reincarnation and Rebirth.

If something is eternal ,it means that it has no beginning and no end. If something has a beginning it is not eternal, and will end .
If something is eternal ,it is unchanging ,and therefore unaffected by anything else .
If something changes from one thing into another ,it is no longer the same thing .
Or if some element of something changes then the thing is a composite of different things . If one part of it were eternal, it would be a part unaffected by, unaffecting, and therefore separate from ,that which changes.

It depends - I dont think you would know that until you actually die considering you dont exactly talk when youre dead, so the ability to reveal that answer is very hard...
For all we know there could be another world we go to after death like this one, or we could just feel like we are in a very long dream in which we could not wake from for obvious reasons. You will know when you die, but you wont be able to tell anyone else about it.

i let ya know when i die. dude have you met anyone that's come back yet to tell us what happens cos i haven't. and if ya keep on listening to all the religious mumbo jumbo you will probably go nuts long before you die. religion is an invention of man to give us hope if there is truly a god then i will make my peace with him when i die i try to be kind to people and animals as much as i can. i don't have to go to church and shout to the world Jesus is my saviour everyday to gain eternal peace.

Your eternal happiness or pain will depend on the choices you make before you die. If you choose to follow Christ, then you will have eternal happiness. If you choose not to...well, good luck.

Yes, definitely. Although it is up to you to reach the happiness, not God. People misunderstand predestination-although God KNOWS what will happen to you, he doesn't make it happen. I suggest you choose to follow him and take control of your destiny!
Also, it really isn't as hard as people make it out to be. All you have to do is believe that Christ died for your sins, then live your life the best that you can. That's it. If you believe, you will be saved. Heaven is not to be gained OR lost. It is a gift if you choose to believe in Christ and to receive it. (It goes without mentioning, however, that a true believer will do their best to live as God would want them to. God knows the hearts of men, and can not be deceived.)
I hope that your heart finds the right path!

Nothing is ever laid out. Everyone has a free well. They can choose to follow God's will or choose to follow their own will.
One follows God's well and remains faithful will find everlasting domain with God. This is God's well for us.
One follows his (her) own well chooses Hell.
It is the matter of choice.

There is no proof at all that a person's consciousness continues after their physical brain has died. So, neither.
