She is perfectly fine. She is the perfect weight for her height. She does not need to diet. In order for her to maintain her weight she has to consume atleast 1500 calories a day, and since she is active she needs to eat more. At her age she is still growing and developing. It is critical to eat a healty diet, lean meats, milk 1% or skim is fine, whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Let her know that she is definitely not fat. If you find that she is obsessed and still sees herself as fat, talk to your parents or another adult that you trust. You will need help to help her. Good luck. Teenage girls are very concerned about image. Unfortunately society today makes perfectly beautiful young girls feel that they are not good enough.

No she is not fat. She does however have a bad self-image. If she is active then that 115 lbs. is very healthy. She is 5'5" and even if she were 10 lbs. heavier, she's be ok.

yes i think she is fine. to get her to stop thinking shes fat tell her about all the people that are obese and have difficulty trying to lose weight and that shes really lucky. tell her if she turns anorexic that her basketball playing will also suffer since she will get weaker. yes, muscle weighs more than fat

She is in no way fat. Her BMI is 19. And is perfect to have. She is not fat. If she wants to make her self look better, just tell her to do some sit ups and push ups just to tone. And thats all she'll need.

She's not at all fat. I am the exact same size, although I am older and I am honestly skinny. She'll probably get an inch or two taller before she stops growing too.

No she sounds perfect and like she has her act together! Sounds like you are more worried than she is! She's 13! All teens have concerns but she is not fat!
