and how do you feel about taking them off?

I live in Hawaii & fly to the US Mainland at least twice a month, as yet when am wearing flip flops have I had to remove them.
I just return from Santa Ana (Orange County) on Mon. and walk right thru.
Did notice all other types of footware have to come off.

I have flown several times this year and knew ahead of time that I would be asked to remove my shoes. I planned ahead and wore a pair of shoes that were easy to slip on and off. I had no problem walking through security in my socks. My daughter wore a pair of sandals and had to remove those. She had no problem walking through security barefoot. Even my 90 year old Grandmother had to remove her shoes and walk through in her nylon-clad feet. It is a small inconvenience to keep us all safe while flying. There are a lot of crazies out there. If airport security says remove my shoes or check my make-up or not take water on board, I'll do it.

Flip flops never have to be removed, because they are so thin, if they have a heal of 1 inch or higher they will have to be removed, TSA offers little disposable booties that you can wear so your barefeet will not have to be on the floor. If it is 1 inch or higher they must be removed because something could be inside of the sole so to speak, that is will all shoes with a heal, boots ect.

I wear flip flops so I won't have to take off my shoes. Isaw a spot on the news about all the bacteria on the floors there (they found ringworm even!). Just wear little rubber ones that don't have anything in them that might set off the metal detector and you shouldn't have to take them off.

ya i always wear flip flops and they make me take em off everytime, seems kinda silly but i dont mind. i mean thats why i wear flip flops, cuz they r easy to take off and the the next best thing to bein barefoot : ) why how do u feel?
