Well, there may be some reasons why.. remember that dogs are not stupid....maybe it is because. they want the sensation of a brisk wind against your face carrying with it scents and fast-moving sights is appealing to many humans. So imagine speeding against the wind with the ability to sniff up to a million times better and to perceive movement at a much quicker pace. For a dog, sticking its head out a moving car must be an all-around sense-sensation the magnitude of which we olfactory-challenged humans can only imagine!
Or maybe it is just like humans... theywant a better view. Dogs
are like people.

Or maybe dogs sense what every teen instinctively knows: it's inherently cooler to travel on wheels than by foot.

Dogs like chasing things and when they stick their head out the window all they have to do is look and things come their way.. but then again they might like the feeling of the air in their faces.

They do it by way of fact they have the urge to smell different canines. so as that they stick there head out of the window and scent! there have been some incidents the place a dogs has jumped out. to steer away from this, you need to purchase them a puppy protection belt to your motor vehicle. :)

Do you mean "dogs" as in "cannine" ? They like to sample the aromas thats in the air that we as humans cannot detect.
If you mean "dogs" as in a really ugly woman wanting to stick her head out the window, I'd like to know why she's in your car in the first place! Lifes too short for that!

I read somewhere that it makes them feel like they are on the chase. Unfortunately like many things that we enjoy - it is bad for them. They can get sand and grit in their eyes- or even jump out the window. Solutions- I let ,ine do it if I am driving real slow, or some people invest in doggie goggles.

Dogs like to do that because they like looking outside and the like the air againt there face! I should know I am a dog person.

the smells of the outside is what they like...also some of them want to feel the wind in there hair!! lol
