Depends upon what one is using it for... a sniper rifle wouldn't be as useful in street fighting as a Uzi would. A gun for hunting elephants wouldn't be the best for rabbit hunting. A 12 Gage loaded with buck shot not the best for pheasant...

Gun is a very general term. Do you mean handgun, shotgun, or rifle? And for what purpose, be it hunting, target shooting, self defense, military?
Assuming you meant a military rifle, I would say the M1 Garand in my opinion a better rifle has yet to be built.

I prefer the Ruguer 22 auto. with a clip. It can be fired over and over again without jamming. It fires gracefully without a kickback and the accuracy is that of no other.
