i think the song might be called "all the pretty little horses" but im not sure. i really need to lyrics to the whole song. all i remember is "hush a by, dont u cry. go to sleep my little baby. when u wake, u will find. all the pretty little horses." i sang it in 9th grade for a choir contest. please help!!!!

Yes, it is called "All the Pretty Little Horses". I used to have it on a lullaby tape I played for my kids when they were babies.

Peter, Paul and Mary and Odetta have sung this song, which is called All the Pretty Little Horses. I believe that it is in the public domain and goes back many generations. I do not believe that it traces back to England and the Child Ballads. It seems to me to be Civil War era.
