I am very near signted in my eyes, which according to my mom is due to my extensive use of computer and staring at the newspaper.
I had just gone to the eye doctor for a exam 3-4 weeks ago and they told me my eyesight is VERY near sighted. They said that it is very bad, because im not supposed to be this near sighted, especially since I am only 14. The degrees were 700 on one side and 800 on the other. I cant remember which has what degree. From that info, I think I should lower the degrees, LASIK isnt a solutiion since im too young. Im looking for a product or something that can help with my problem. Does anyone know any?
I've got the hard lenses which is supposed to slow down the rate the degree grows but I dont really think its a effective solution.
If you can, can you show me where I can get the product or whatever it is?
Thanks to everyone who answers!

Really, your only two options would be contacts or glasses. If you want glasses, there are a few things to know...pick a small frame (one that fits, preferably a 47 to 49 eye size) rounded shape. The reason for this is that as a nearsighted person, you have thick edges on your lenses but a thin center. You want to use as much of the center of the lens as you can. Next, the lenses you should get are high index lenses, 1.60 index or 1.67. These will offer you the thinnest lenses you can get.

Also, have your optician order a roll and polish, which will thin the edges even further. And finally, an anti-reflective coating. It will make your lenses nearly invisible when people look at you straight on.

Hope that helps.

Sorry for your problem, dear...My own eyesight is 400/20 in each eye, and that is considered legally blind...I haven't ever heard of any solutions for ones eyes...Your contacts must be the solution if you have asked at least four eye doctors...Was it a professional you went to, or one of them fly by nights?
