Wait a second. I'm Christian and I have a lot of foreign friends who are buddist or other relegions. Not everyone worshios God and I accept that. I'm sad to hear the label that has been put on Christians by your friend. Christians are taught respect, modesty and tolerance- still, nobody is perfect. It's not necessarily the relegion- it's the person.

Just read a few answers on here and it will be sheer proof that some Christians say judgeful things about other religions, thinking themselves in the best religion. But not all Christians are like that, it depends on the person.

When I read about Christian saints and then about some of the great Buddhist leaders, I noticed that they are all so unbelievably good people. They would not be the kinds of people who hate those who practice other religions and in fact, there are many basic similarities in their teachings. They live their religion and don't spend their time analyzing it.

I believe hatred comes from not truly learning about and understanding others.

All of the monotheistic religions prohibit worship of other gods.
But one striking hypocrisy can be found in Christian thought...if Jesus taught ppl to love each other, why are there so many unaccepting and unloving Christians? Parents who cannot love their gay children...etc.
The Church has a lot to do with this problem...Martin Luther was the first to notice Rome corrupt in the 1500s...I am not that sure about now but it is not getting better.

If your Christian friends are speaking badly of other religions then they are not following the true teachings where we are told to love one another and to not judge others.

I do not hate other religions. A lot of Christians don't. I think your friends are giving us a bad name.

The best thing you can do is tell your "friend" what Buddhism really is. Get a book from the library and read it together.

Christianity needs to devalue other religions to make it shine as unique and true. It started with the Jewish community, but the Christians needed to separate themselves from the Jews when they started up, so they're more extreme.

I disagree completely-

True Christianity is not about hating people at all...

Our religion/beliefs does teach that there is only one way to God, but it doesn't say anything about hating people who belief other things. We are called to love people and show by example rather than Bible-Thump.

I don't remember Paul talking up a raid on the temple of Diana.

Christian religion IS the best. It's the best funded, most popular, and is supported by the largest military in the world. Doesn't make what they say any less loony, but besides that, they say stupid things like that because they feel they want to belong. Religions are all emotions and no logic.

Even Bhudda admitted that he still hadn't found the truth. What troubles Christians is that reincarnation isn't even logical, not to mention that we are told that it is appointed for man to live once, and then the judgement. How can reincarnation be logical if it contradicts science and the bible ? To be reincarnated into a dying world is senseless
