Brilliant scientist Kurzweil in his last 2 books( cf. the Singularity : When Humans Transcend Biology ) predicts that in 2 decades man will be able to extend human life indefinitely.
Since the fire and brimstone will be dimmed greatly in the human psyche, is it probable that these myths can survive without the threat of damnation?
What use is salvation when death can be eliminated? Certainly the social cohesion obtained via fear weakens. How can each successive generation of nano-enhanced theists NOT become more distanced from hellish themes?

Even if death could be suspended forever, we would still have the problem of overpopulation (unless everyone agreed to stop having babies...which I don't see ever happening). I'd rather die than live in a world where we are crammed together shoulder to shoulder fighting over resources.

How can death be fully eliminated? Think about it. Even if you can't age someone could still kill you right or someone could kill himself/herself by accident. lol Aging is not the only thing to lead to death ya know. A lot more concern should be placed on trying to evolve human brains to become more inventive and compassionate also.

properly, i'm genuinely in Reno, so i'm hoping it truly is far east sufficient for you. i'm from Texas besides. i stumble on it not user-friendly to trust that they are going to improve existence indefinitely. no matter if or not they do, there'll nevertheless be vehicle crashes and murders and suicides, etc. yet it truly is not the point. you're asking if faith will ever disappear. I say genuinely not. For those those who're non secular (and that i'm not non secular, purely non secular), we do not have our beliefs because we are terrified of eternal damnation. God would not purely ward off interior the top. He saves you each and every unmarried day. I genuinely have tried to stay my existence without Him, even if it truly is fairly not conceivable for me. i want Him each and every second. So if I were to stay always, i might want to nevertheless choose Him round.

people cant deal w/ the idea of being responsible for the bad crap that happens in their life so they must have someone to blame/beg to make it better. religion will be here for a long long time. religion isnt the problem-people are the problem, they take life to seriously and base their entire world on a book that has no more meaning or value in modern daily life than alice in wonderland. aging is what leads to death (natural that is) chromosomes split and the ends die off, it cant continue to split and replicate itself while dying-thus we age and when our dna is to feeble to split off and replicate we die
