Hello! It depends on where the headache is. If the ache is around your forehead and/or around your eyes, it may be your sinuses. You can either take sinus decongestants or you might have to see a doctor for a prescription if it's a sinus infection.
If the ache is at your temples and/or at the very top of your head, it's probably due to stress and might be a minor migraine headache. Go somewhere quiet to lie down, get a cold, wet washcloth and place it over your eyes and rest.
Water is always a cure-all for any kind of headache. Headaches can be a result of dehydration.

If you have had a headache for 1 week, you should go to the doctor to get that looked at. There is someting more than a headache going on! I am not thinking about space occupying lesions necessarily. It is possible for muscle strain to do this too.
If it was intermittent, I would think that it was a headache that would respond to tylenol or motrin.

After 2 weeks, you should definitely see a doctor.
It might be an allergic reaction causing you to get stuffed up
in peculiar places.
Did anything change about your environment? Are you living
or working some place new?
See your doctor. ASAP.

You need to find out what's causing it first. May be it's stress, or new porfume that you're wearing. If you can't put a pin it, then try tylenol, coffee, change your diet, do something fun, get more sleep, listen to soft music, and eliminate loud noises at your home i.e. tune down your radio/TV. Oh, and try airing out your home. Fresh air does your body good.

in addition to the many physical problems that your headache may be indicative of, you may be experiencing these as a symtom of depression or excess stress. you should definitely see a physician as soon as possible.
