Sorry to hear that... did you take any aspirin or tylenol? You might even consider just laying down for a while.. shutting all the lights and stuff off to get a few minutes of complete quite if you can get away with it..... until your headache subsides... hope you feel better.

I take it from your answer you really don't want to take any meds for this if possible, right? I hope so because you shouldn't have to. A headache is caused by tight muscles in your neck, and working on the computer as much as you do is going to help tighten it up. You should be doing something to keep more movement into your body or you can end up in some serious health issues in a short time and lack of exercise is the main cause of those issues. Back to the pain. Here is a way of releasing your neck muscles to help get rid of the pain: Neck Invert your hands and put them next to your head placing your thumbs in under your ears and you lower your head until your neck is fully extended, release the pressure but hold your head there for another 30 seconds. You can also try this, a little quick release that you can do almost anywhere if you are hit with more of the head pains: Press your fingers or thumbs into your temples and hold them there for a minimum of 30 seconds or until desired amount of relief is reached.

It may be from a change in the atmospheric pressure (cold front coming in - weather), or food allergy, or stress, or something very serious like bleeding on the brain / brain aneurysm. If simple over the counter meds don't help, and it continues for more than 2 days, be checked out at a clinic or hospital. Sometimes if you get regular headaches, it may be allergy (pollens) related, of which, massage at the baseline of the back of the head can help, but it's best to see a professional before any "self help" with massage and such.

Well, where exactly does your head hurt? If the pain is located on the sides of your head all the way up to the top, you might want to consider seeing an eye doctor. Especially if it is shortly after reading. If nothing is wrong, then tr taking tylenol. If nothing works, and your headaches get worse, then go and see your doctor.

Take some prescription medicine (if you have any) or just go to sleep. Eating dark chocolate as well as fruits can help it hurt a bit less.

I'm sorry.I had a nasty headache earlier today too --so I took a long walk. The fresh air helped. If that hadn't worked--2 Ibuprofin usually does the trick.
Hope you feel better soon.
