You should read any kind of books - pick a subject you are interested in and it will be pleasant. After reading words you do not know, try to figure out what they mean based on the context of the sentence. If you still do not know what a word means, then look it up in a dictionary. Then, try to use that word at least 4 times throughout the day. That should help you extend your vocabulary.

There are many books to extend vocabulary that are excellent at the chore, but it looks like you are really interested in creating a rap vocab that may help you to rhyme?

In that case, there are specific rhyming dictionaries online (search rhyming dictionary below). You can get synonyms (similar meaning words), homonyms (same pronunciation, different meaning) etc.

Good luck.

A thesaurus might be a little more useful than a dictionary. Also, there are actually books out there marketed to people who want to expand their vocabularies. Ask some employees at a bookstore if they know of any.

firstly, I commend you for desirous to strengthen your vocabulary. I additionally share that prefer. and that i've got come some distance, yet prefer to bypass extra. issues I do; *every time i'm writing something (notwithstanding if it is an common letter) I continuously seem trouble-free words up in a word checklist. *every time I hear a word that i do no longer comprehend, if i can't discern it out with the aid of the sentence it relatively is in, i seem it up in the dictionary (sorry, i comprehend you probably did no longer decide to hearken to that one). *My vocabulary has gotten heavily extra advantageous when you consider that i've got been examining larger point books. Jonathan Kozol's "The shame of the country" is packed with wealthy vocabulary. maximum of which i ought to be sure the which skill during the sentences, some I did would desire to seem up. *as quickly as I learn a sparkling word, i attempt to apply it some situations a week so i do no longer forget approximately it. *As nerdy because it sounds, I even have vocab books that I many times leaf with the aid of and prepare writing them in sentences. My greatest suggestion is to proceed examining. the best thank you to learn new words is to envision them :) examine the newspaper daily, magazines jointly with Newsweek, and better point novels. you ought to bypass right into a school's e book shop and purely seem around at any novels you notice. Then bypass examine them out out of your community library. ~with the aid of the way, i'm examining to be a instructor and function loads of counsel on examining and deciphering techniques. deliver me an digital mail in case you like me to share.

Well, if you rap, you won't need much of a vocabulary. As someone once said," there are just So many words that you can rhyme with "*****." If you seriously want to extend your vocabulary, you are in the wrong spot. Half of the people on this site can't spell the words they are using to "communicate" with us. Their vocabulary exists of : all terms sexual- most are misspelled, all terms profane-most misspelled and all terms that deal with egoism....they wouldn't even know what that means, yet they indulge in it all the time on this site. Yahoo is NOT your answer. I would speak to a trusted adult. Good luk! (Just kidding.)

Make it a habit to read hand/pocket books and newspapers. If you encounter a word or group of words quite difficult for you to understand, then check it out in the dictionary (its antonyms and synonyms). Next time you read the words, the meaning will automatically comes into your mind.

Read. Also you could pick up a rhyming dictionary. My personal favorite is to play scrabble (or literati). Most importantly, you need to become familiar with the word and actually start using it. You don't have to use it everyday, but including it your speach helps.

Actually, read a book. Any book. They don't have to be about rapping or anything. I've noticed some rappers use some pretty big words. It surprises me.
