Notice that you are not getting a straight answer? It is from Constantine's formulation of the Church as an offshoot of his conquest.

I am a Liberal Christian and not one the ones who many align with "right
wing" Christianity...you might call them "Bible-thumpers"/despots/radicals."
However, here are the scriptural illustrations of why they are diluded
in following like sheep the republican party....why they are turning to
the very fascist-like faction they are choosing to turn their wills/lives
over to. I've been contending all this all along...Please don't judge
our whole religion because of these jerks....you can bet Christ himself
is looking down and likening them to the San Hedren.

Bush a warmonger?

Lessee now.....

Woodrow Wilson was in the White House when we got into World War 1

Franklin Roosevelt was in the White House when we got into World War 2

Harry Truman was in the White House when we got into the Korean War.

Lyndon Johnson was in the White House when we got into the Viet Nam war.

Guess what? They were all **gasp!!!** Liberal Democrats!!!!

Warmongers use terrorism as a tool of war. Roosevelt approved fire bombing Tokyo, burning down over a third of the city and killing 38,000 men, women and children.

Roosevelt was in the White House and approved a plan to identify a race of people and forcibly remove them from their homes and put them in (albeit benign) concentration camps. Think not? Ask the Japanese Americans who lived for four years at Manzanar.

Harry Truman approved and authorized the use of weapons of mass destruction. As in, Atomic bombs on Nagasaki and on Hiroshima.

The South declared war on the North (The Civil War). Who was president of the Confederate States of America? Jefferson Davis, a Democrat.

Warmonger? Methinks you need to go back and carefully read about U. S. History.

Not all Christians are warlike and I myself have spoke to many of those In Iraq and they say that tv and the news do not tell the truth.
I also know of a Pastor that has gone over seas,His wife Is at home and he believes In the freedom of the people of Iraq.

The Bible says to know the truth and the truth shall make you free and tv and the news are not telling you or me the truth

Are we warlike, I don't think I've ever experienced an angrier group of people then the self-titled atheists here. As a Christian I've been called stupid, hateful, mindless, retarded all because of my belief system. And yet, I haven't gotten angry, though sometimes sad.

I'm not aggressive and warlike, so if anyone is taking a poll, put me on the not warlike side.

I followed Jesus(saw) for many years,Taught Bible school vacation Bible school and always felt christians to be a loving people,UNTIL I found the real truth, when you are not a part of their cult then you are against them and they are quick to attack, now you have you few that are educated enough to research other religions befor lashing out at you,I use few loosley.and from what ive seen on this site it just confirms my theory.again not all like that but a majority are.I dont feel we hjave a right to judge other religions, isnt faith blind, how can you tell me you are for sure correct until the day of judgment?I think it would be smart ot think about what comes out of our mouths because you never know who you are influenceing and what way you are leading them by your words,we should all set good examples, represent your religion and i say this to all

The concept of belief leads to wars. like Bush believes in democracy and is trying that in middle east. similarly, religious people beleive that they are absolutely correct. and in beleiving so, they assume that everyone else is wrong and they have a responsibilty to "correct" them. So, they fight.
Mostly, religious people are not that intelligent. just like Bush. or any other religious leader or even islamic mullahs

I'm christian, and I certainly didn't support Bush. Believe it or not, we're not all exactly the same. Gotta admit though, I would be very ashamed of my country if we hadn't have gotten involved in WWII. To sit by and do nothing while horrible atrocities were occurring would have made us just as evil as the nazi's. All it takes for evil to win is to do nothing.

Why does modern day man get so much blame for wars. War has been going on since the beginning of time, and will go on until the end of time. You cannot put the specific blame on anyone. The bible tells us, there will be wars and rumors of war.

i think its because people fear and hate things that a re different from them and their way of life. I'M a christian but i accept all religions and cultures. i cant force the bible on someone and if someone wants to be anything else then thats their buisness. I can try to talk to them and convince them otherwise but if they have made up their mind...
