At leasts thats what im starting to think now because i have literally tried everything to try and actually hook up with people but i get the usual "no" answers and the occassional "hell no" in there as well. Perhaps its a sign or something that i am meant to be alone or perhaps i am cursed, either way it becomes more and more painful every day knowing that events like the Homecoming dance, Senior Prom, and Military Ball (its like a prom for the JROTC) and of course having a date at these events makes them more worth while and it also makes it more frustrating seeing that there are fatter and uglier and more weird people around school up against the wall smooching while your there wonderin {how in the hell did someone like that get hooked up with someone as attractive as that or even with anyone at all. So anyways my question is for those who are good at getting into relationships, what do i have to do so that i can get a decent girl to say yes to go out with me, what am i doing wrong?

You're worrying about it too much for one thing. Maybe you should go up to someone who doesn't get asked out much, and try your luck there. Some people only want to hang out with the people already in their clique. Their loss, not yours.

FYI, lots of people who couldn't get a date in HS or college are extremely successful, because it made them concentrate on other things in life.

My guess is that you're trying too hard and it shows! Most girls find it very off-puttng if a guy comes on too strong. Just relax, be yourself and don't act as if your friendship with a girl is the be-all and end-all. Just treat her with respect and don't be pushy. As you have already learned, looks do not always matter so much. What girls want is to be treated with respect, kindness and courtesy; someone who listens to them & shows an interest in them & their opinions. You are not destined to be alone or cursed! Just a typical young man who is still finding his feet when it comes to relationships. Don't worry about it - it'll come in time. Sometimes the longer it takes, the more special it is when it finally happens. I can promise you that it is worth waiting for! Good luck.
